What to do about Norton blocking vulnerable driver activehealth.sys.

Hi @Perry1611, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like Norton is blocking the activehealth.sys driver because it has identified it as vulnerable. This driver is part of the HP Support Assistant, which monitors your computer's health.
Here are a few steps you can take to address this issue:

Update HP Support Assistant: Ensure that you have the latest version of HP Support Assistant installed. Sometimes, updates can resolve compatibility issues.

Exclude the Driver: If you trust the source of the driver, you can add an exception in Norton to allow this specific driver. However, be cautious as this might expose your system to potential risks.

Disable HP Support Assistant: If you don't need the HP Support Assistant, you can disable or uninstall it. This will prevent the activehealth.sys driver from running and being blocked by Norton.
Exclude the Driver from Norton

  • Open Norton Security.
  • Go to Settings → Antivirus → Scans and Risks.
  • Under Items to Exclude from Auto-Protect, add C:\Windows\System32\drivers\activehealth.sys.
  • Restart the PC.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
