HP Compaq dc7900 SFF
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I need to upgrade my original BIOS to latest version availlable, for the HP Compaq dc7900 SFF Desktop PC.

Is the sp73584.exe the latest necessary to upgrade from flash memory?

Where I can get the files for download?

In the comunity public FTP there is this file?

From HP Support there is not because the PC is now not supported......

Thanks in advance..

Below are the info and exe file links to the last BIOS update HP released for your PC:

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp73501-74000/sp73584.html

I would use the F10 BIOS setup method to update the BIOS since you are running W10.

That way you are not even in Windows when you update the BIOS.

Get a USB flash drive.  Format it with the FAT32 file system.

Run the BIOS file above.   An info page will open.

If you run the file and an info page does not open, browse to the folder that was created when you ran the file which would be in C:\SWSetup\sp73584.

The info page is the html file, or you can just copy the file contents of the DOS flash folder to your USB flash drive from there.

Read the instructions under the F10 Setup flash section.

At the bottom of that section, there is a link to click on...View contents of the DOS flash folder.

Copy the file contents from that folder to your USB flash drive.  Just the files, not the folder.

Restart the PC.

Press the F10 key for the BIOS setup option.

Select the File tab>Flash System ROM command.

Select the USB flash drive.

The PC should now 'see' the BIOS update files on the flash drive.

Follow the on screen instructions to update the BIOS.

If you run the file and an info page does not open, browse to the folder that was created when you ran the file which would be in C:\SWSetup\sp73584.
