Product: OMEN 17.3 inch Gaming Laptop PC 17-ck0000 (2Y4A6AV)

Since BIOS F.44 my laptop hangs periodically.  HP don't allow rolling back of BIOS using the update assistant, so I created two recovery USB's on two separate drives (F.43) and neither will install (holding Windows and 'B' key) as it says the files cannot be found, or are corrupted.

I tried reinstalling F.44 and it hangs and goes immediately into a CMOS recovery. Currently it boots but hangs roughly once every 48 hours (maximum, sometimes sooner).

Any help gratefully received.

While resetting windows on the laptop it's CMOS crashed mid install resulting in a 502 error.  With a bit of luck I'll get it reinstalled before the next crash.
