Omen HP 870-224
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I know there are several other people who asked this question but none of the solutions have worked for me.

Every time I try to open omen control in order to change the color of the tower's lights, a system error occurs and it says "syncom.dll missing"

I've tried just about every other thing I could think of; drivers, resetting the computer, reinstalling. Doesn't work still.

If I could get some help with this problem, that would be great because it seems that this is a common issue that other people could benefit from as well.

@M3trics Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that you are getting syncom.dll missing message while launching the omen control.

I would suggest you install direct X and check.

Please click the below link to download the direct X.

Please click to download the soft pack of the omen control.

Unfortunately, our good friend syncom.dll is still missing and the same error message shows up.

I made sure to try uninstalling omen control and trying again to see if it changed anything and it didn't

Thank you for the update.

In that case, you have to perform the recovery.

Performing the recovery you will lose the personal data and installed applications.
