Hi @kn1116,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It seems like your OMEN 45L Gaming Desktop PC is being incorrectly detected as the 40L in the OMEN Gaming Hub, which could cause the RGB lighting control to be misconfigured. Here are some steps you can follow to resolve this issue.

Update the OMEN Gaming Hub: Ensure you have the latest version of the OMEN Gaming Hub installed, as older versions may have incorrect detection or compatibility issues. You can check for updates in the app itself or download the latest version from the official OMEN website.

Update Your BIOS and Drivers: Sometimes the system's hardware profile might be outdated in the OMEN Gaming Hub if your BIOS or drivers are not up to date. Check for any available updates for your system’s BIOS and chipset drivers on HP's support website and install them.

Check the OMEN Gaming Hub Settings:

  • Open the OMEN Gaming Hub.
  • Go to the Lighting section and manually try to detect your fans. There may be a "Detect" or "Sync" option that helps the software correctly identify all your RGB components.
  • Ensure that your system is correctly identified as the OMEN 45L and not the 40L. If it’s still showing as the 40L, you may need to reinstall the software.

Reinstall OMEN Gaming Hub: If the system is still incorrectly detected:

  • Uninstall OMEN Gaming Hub from your PC via the Control Panel or Settings > Apps.
  • Download the latest version from HP’s official OMEN support page.
  • Reinstall the software and restart your system.

Manually Adjust RGB Settings: If the third fan is still not showing RGB, it could be an issue with the fan's RGB connection to the motherboard or RGB controller. Ensure all connections are properly seated, especially the RGB cable coming from the fan to the motherboard.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
