Microsoft Windows 11

Hi HP experts.

Yesterday I received a brand new Omen HP 45L GT22 - 0385no - desktop computer. Lovely and powerful machine running Windows 11 Pro. Upon reception I used the HP Support Assistant to update all my drivers (as I always do with new computers). Once that was done I decided I wanted to control the leds which in their default setting are almost driving me crazy, but when I started the Omen Gaming Hub, it simply never gets started. I get a loading window that continuously presents random messages, but the main application (as I have seen it work in YouTube) never starts.

I have googled a lot and apparently I am not alone with this particular problem. I have uninstalled the application, rebooted my machine (many times) and reinstalled the Hub, but the same behaviour repeats itself time and time over again.

What other ways are there available to control the setup of the leds on the machine that does not require the Omen Gaming Hub?

Any ideas or help around this would be highly appreciated.

Best regards!

Please go to Windows Menu, type “OMEN Gaming Hub”, then open “App Settings”

Find “Reset”, press it. Then, restart OS

Thank you very much for the prompt reply.

Unfortunately I had tried that multiple times. I also tried the "repair" option and also uninstalled and reinstalled the application several times with proper reboots in between. Nothing helped.

In pure desperation I ended up reinstalling Windows 11 from scratch and then the application started working. So I am going to attempt to use restore points to at least have a restore point to go back to, if this situation would reappear. Judging from other questions I have seen in the Internet, at random this application can stop working.

It's a pity that such a central HP application appears to be this unstable.

Regards!

Hi,

I have the same problem but I do not want to reinstall system every time this happens - any other solution to this issue?

Many thanks!

Don't go through the hassle to reinstall Windows. I tried it, but the Gaming Hub only remained stable for a couple of hours. As soon as I updated the drivers on my machine and started to install my software, all of a sudden the Gaming Hub application again started to fail to start.

It should be embarrassing for HP to deliver such a central software with their machines that all of a sudden stops working. I truly hope HP puts down some effort to resolve this, as it appears quite a lot of people have this particular problem.

Regards.
