I have an HP omen L30. I have a corsair keyboard that takes 2 usb ports and they work fine on the 2. The other 4 don't register as connected. I can't connect any combination of headsets or mice. I tried every combination of usb connections. I have corsair mouse, headsets, 2 razor mice, 1 ps headsets, and 1 arctis headset but nothing registers to the computer.

Hi @Pman11223,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

We understand you're experiencing USB port recognition issues on your HP OMEN L30, where only two USB ports work (used by your Corsair keyboard), and the remaining four ports do not detect any devices, including multiple headsets and mice.

Let's try a few steps and see I this helps:

1. Uninstall USB Power Management Drivers

Some users fixed the issue by removing and reinstalling USB-related drivers:

  1. Open Device Manager (Windows + X → Device Manager).
  2. Expand Universal Serial Bus controllers.
  3. Right-click each USB Root Hub or Generic USB Hub and choose Uninstall device.
  4. Restart your PC. Windows will reinstall the correct drivers automatically.

2. Disable USB Selective Suspend

  1. Go to Control Panel > Power Options > Change plan settings.
  2. Click Change advanced power settings.
  3. Expand USB settings > USB selective suspend setting.
  4. Set it to Disabled for both battery and plugged in.
  5. Click Apply and OK.

3. Check BIOS Settings

  • Restart your PC and press F10 repeatedly to enter BIOS.
  • Look for USB Configuration or Legacy USB Support.
  • Make sure all USB ports are enabled.
  • Save and exit.

4. Update BIOS and Chipset Drivers

  • Visit the HP Omen 30L support page and enter your exact model number.
  • Download and install the latest:
    • BIOS update
    • Chipset drivers
    • USB controller drivers

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
