Hi @sugarcoatkomodo,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I can see from the image that your HP PC is stuck in HP Recovery Manager with the message:

“Recovery incomplete. The system could not be restored to the factory image.”

This usually happens when:

  • The recovery partition is corrupted or missing.
  • Windows update or disk errors interrupted the recovery process.
  • There’s a hardware issue with the storage drive.

Steps to Fix HP Boot Loop with Recovery Error

1. Hard Reset

  • Power off the PC completely.
  • Disconnect all peripherals (USB drives, printers, etc.).
  • Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.
  • Restart and check if it boots.

2. Run HP Diagnostics

  • Turn on the PC and immediately press Esc, then F2 for System Diagnostics.
  • Run Hard Drive Test and Memory Test.
  • If the drive fails, it needs replacement.

3. Try Windows Recovery Options

  • Restart and press F11 for System Recovery.
  • If F11 doesn’t work, use a Windows 11 installation USB
    • Boot from USB → Repair your computerTroubleshootStartup Repair.

4. Reinstall Windows

If the recovery partition is damaged:

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
