Pop-ups even for software that has been removed

HP Recommended
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

There are numerous pop-ups that appear. McAfee has been removed yet we still receive pop-up advising us to renew. What is the procedure to remove these annoying pop-ups?

@Hank221,

It might be a "scam malware:, as shown here.

Or you did not get it all, Security Scan Plus, as shown here.

I used Windows 10 to remove McAfee. McAfee was one of the programs that came preloaded on the PC. The computer is clean, no spam.

I downloaded the McAfee MCPR app and ran that. Hopefully that resolves the McAfee notification to update.

Thank you for the assistance.

Using the McAfee MCPR did not resolve the problem. There are no McAfee products installed yet continue to get pop-up saying to renew.
