Hi! I'm looking to see if it's possible to swap the LED strip inside my HP tg01-1022. I'm aware that my pc isn't compatible with OMEN, and that the color by default is green.

Is it possible to replace it with a red LED or rgb strip that has the same connector as the Lighting LED header on the motherboard? I really don't want to add an additonal fan or have an external controller just to change the light from green to red.

Hi @sbrownie90,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

We want to make sure you can achieve the look you want without risking damage to your system, The TG01 series uses a proprietary LED header designed for HP’s factory-installed lighting.
Using an incompatible strip could cause malfunction or damage.
