HP Pavilion 27 27-inch Display

Hi there,

My friend has gifted me her HP Pavillion 27 FHD (product no. 3TN79AA) for me to use with my 2018 Macbook pro (4 Thunderbolt-3 ports) and I am wondering if it's at all possible to set it up such that the video input is USB-C and that the power from the monitor can charge my laptop? currently when I switch the video input to USB-C Video, the cable plugged into the monitor will charge my laptop but it won't show any video output on the monitor. How can I fix this?

For clarification, the USB-C/Thunderbolt cable I am using is plugged into the only USB-C port on the monitor (has the high-speed USB symbol next to it)

The USB-C port o the HP monitor can only supply 15 watts

Ports
1 headphone-out; 1 USB Type-C™ (DisplayPort™ 1.4, power delivery up to 15 W); 2 USB 3.0 (downstream, power delivery up to 5 W)

You cannot charge your macbook using that external monitor
