I'm having an issue in my HP Omen 16.. After installing windows and installing most Drivers when I come to installing Graphics Drivers(Intel Graphics Driver and NVIDIA Graphics Driver), all is good till installing NVIDIA driver but after that when I install Intel Graphics Driver, my screen goes black for a couple of seconds and then the whole system freezes. Even if I force Shutdown and switch it back on, after booting windows it again freezes on the login screen and even the display get pixelated in some part of the screenIMG20250708115439.jpg

Thanks for sharing the details. Based on your issue with the HP Omen 16 users, it seems the Intel Graphics Driver installation after the NVIDIA driver is causing a system freeze and display corruption. This is likely due to driver conflictsWindows Update interference, or incorrect installation order.

Recommended Fix Steps

1. Uninstall Both Graphics Drivers in Safe Mode

  1. Boot into Safe Mode:
    • Hold Shift while clicking Restart from the login screen.
    • Go to Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > Startup Settings > Restart.
    • Press 4 to boot into Safe Mode.
  2. Open Device Manager (Win + X > Device Manager).
  3. Expand Display adapters.
  4. Right-click both Intel UHD Graphics and NVIDIA GPU, and choose Uninstall device.
  5. Check "Delete the driver software for this device" if prompted.
  6. Reboot normally.


2. Install Intel Graphics Driver First

  • Download the latest Intel Graphics Driver for your model from HP’s official site or Intel’s Download Center.
  • Install it before installing the NVIDIA driver.


3. Then, Install the NVIDIA Graphics Driver


4. Disable Automatic Driver Updates Temporarily

To prevent Windows from reinstalling conflicting drivers:

  • Press Win + R, type sysdm.cpl, go to Hardware > Device Installation Settings.
  • Select No (your device might not work as expected).


5. BIOS and Firmware Update

Ensure your BIOS is up to date:

  • Visit HP Software and Driver Downloads: Official HP® Support
  • Enter your model (e.g., HP Omen 16) and install the latest BIOS and chipset drivers.
