I just purchased a new computer with Intel® Core™ i7-12700T (up to 4.7 GHz with Intel® Turbo Boost Technology, 25 MB L3 cache, 12 cores, 20 threads)[6,7] but my processor speed is only 1.5 GHz. How do I increase the processor speed?

hi
Max Turbo Frequency
Max Turbo Frequency is the maximum single-core frequency at which the processor is capable of operating using Intel® Turbo Boost Technology and, if present, Intel® Turbo Boost Max Technology 3.0 and Intel® Thermal Velocity Boost. Frequency is typically measured in gigahertz (GHz), or billion cycles per second.
Performance-core Base Frequency 1.40 GHz

That's a hard question to answer
The more a computer is used, the more it will tend to heat up.
so the fans will spin faster to cool it down
Either way, it's normal
trying to slow down the speed, may damage the computer, that's what we forget to say, usually when a user asks how to slow them down
After what is not normal is that the user is disturbed by the noise, there may be a design problem
all you can do is avoid using too many programs at the same time
Pay attention to how the computer is placed and where, not on a surface that could obstruct the ventilation
see some possible solutions

Step 6: Update the BIOS
only if absolutely necessary, it's quite risky, I don't recommend it too much
