OMEN by HP 875-1000 Obelisk Desktop PC (5MU99AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

I am trying to upgrade my SSD drive and am looking for the owner's manual.  Searching for it here on HP Support provides no results using Model#, Serial #, or Product #.

Product Name: OMEN by HP Obelisk Desktop 875-1xxx
Product number: 3UQ93AA#ABA
I also have tried the full Model # which is 875-1055xt
I mainly need to know that I am buying the right replacement SSD Drive, IF there is a way to add a 2nd SSD Drive, and what type of RAM to buy because I tried upgrading that and got errors after installing the two new RAM sticks.
With out the Owners manual this information is very hard (for me) to find)

HI @Dwit,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To find the owner's manual and detailed specifications for your OMEN by HP Obelisk Desktop 875-1055xt, follow these steps:

  1. HP Support Website: Go to the official HP Support website.
  2. Search by Product Name: Enter "OMEN by HP Obelisk Desktop 875-1055xt" in the search bar.
  3. Documentation: Look for the "Manuals" or "Documentation" section in the search results.

Here are some general details that might help with your upgrade:

SSD Upgrade

Your OMEN by HP Obelisk Desktop 875-1055xt should support both SATA and NVMe M.2 SSDs. Here's what you need to know:

  • Primary SSD Slot: Likely supports an NVMe M.2 SSD (2280 form factor).
  • Additional SSD Slot: If there is a second M.2 slot, it might support an additional NVMe or SATA M.2 SSD. You may also have space for a 2.5" SATA SSD if there are available drive bays.

RAM Upgrade

For RAM, you need to ensure compatibility with your system:

  • Type: DDR4
  • Speed: Check your existing RAM for speed (e.g., 2666 MHz, 2933 MHz, or 3200 MHz). The new RAM should match or be compatible with this speed.
  • Capacity: Your motherboard should support a maximum capacity of RAM, typically up to 64GB or 128GB. Check the specific limits for your model.
  • Compatibility: It's best to buy RAM from the same manufacturer and with the same specifications as the existing RAM.

Steps to Check the Hardware Configuration

  1. Motherboard Specifications: Identify the model of your motherboard. This information can be found in the BIOS or by using system information tools like CPU-Z.
  2. Slots Available: Physically inspect your desktop to see the available slots for M.2 SSDs and RAM slots.
  3. Existing Hardware: Check the specifications of your current RAM and SSD.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
