New to this desktop & Windows 11 - & definitely not very tekkie. When I try to activate Microsoft 365 Personal which was included in the purchase of the desktop, I'm asked to subscribe for a year for $69.00 ... Any help would be great, even the best way to have someone at HP walk me through it or direct phone #? Thanks.

the microsoft 365 version preinstalled, is generally for a short trial period
So unless you have a particular offer, it is normal that if you make an activation request that Microsoft will charge you a subscription
You can try to contact hp support, in your country:
