Paul,

I think I agreed with you.... HP Recovery Tool Media is not great... it caused same error after pressed F11 to enter into HP Recovery (WinRE) mode, here is image:

HP Recovery Error Code - 0xc0000225.jpg

I learned it has to do with BootMBR corrupt, CoPilot helped me with instruction how to fix, but turned dead-end, very IMPOSSIBLE to fix... did removed and clean BootMBR from C:\Windows file through Command Prompt in WinRE. Now forced it to preset PC with same BootMBR, it is now 2nd times. I needed HP Cloud Recovery Tool with Windows 11 23H2 Version which is more stable than recently latest updated 24H2 version led to BSOD in few minutes to 15, restarted over and over again. I am stuck with it for a while. Until 24H2 with newer fixes with BSOD update coming soon, if it goes smooth with my HP14-fa0054nr which never worked very well with latest 24H2 (January 26 through February 8th)! Ugh...

Paul, I cannot use Windows 11 24H2 Media yet, until its fixed...I noticed use Windows Media have No ISSUES I used more than couple times or more for years. while HP Cloud Recovery Media with bugs and errors cause BootMBR corrupted. Thank for your reminding about Windows own Tool Media into USB works flawlessly many computers you worked on than HP Tool. Yeah, after 24H2 is fixed with no more BSOD, then I will do clean install whole SSD with Windows 11 using Windows Media.

Can you let someone at HP know about it and fix it? I see Microsoft Store still have HP Cloud Recovery Tool on list (Released since 9/21/2018), it needs to stop until fix it and updated to newer version, it will not happen again?

I am not sure what is going on but I suspect you are trying to repair your windows 11 system.  I believe the Paul you are referring to is @Paul_Tikkanen

Unfortunately, I cannot find any previous posts or correspondence you had here at HP.

Unless I am mistaken, your system has cloud recovery as 14-fa0054au product's id worked in cloud and your 14-fa0054nx is not that much different from 14-fa0054au.

MBR boot is a type of boot DOS and old windows used before the newer UEFI system.  If you installed an MBR partition on your drive that would be a mistake IMHO.

HP is removing cloud recovery for system over 5 years old.
The actual wording is a limited time after the warranty expires
You may want to get a copy of the cloud recovery before it is too late.
Cloud recovery provides all the custom HP drivers.
Go to the below site and enter your product ID including the 3 characters after the # character
If you have cloud recovery you can restore your system using a 32gb flash.
It may take an hour or more to create the recovery USB.

Paul,

Update.... what you wrote about Clean SSD, and it's worked! No more Error Code while pressing F11 opening into WinRE (Recovery) mode, and BootMBR is Clean and Stable! Thanks!!!!!! I don't think Error code caused by HP Cloud Recovery Tool, one thing they should or forgot to add command to execute "DISKPART CLEAN" after Select Disk 0 to it.

Again, thank you for suggesting that save my time and frustrated.
