Greetings @adamrobinson363,
Welcome to HP Forums and thank for the post.
I understand that you are facing an issue with your computer where the computer is not accepting the password for your computer.
Not to worry, I will be glad to help.
Is your computer connected to the internet?
Are you using a local account or connected account?
May I know the exact product number of your computer? Click here. Please do not share the serial number of your computer.
What is the operating system installed on your computer?
Recommend you restart your computer.
On the login screen, to the bottom right-side of the screen, you will have a network icon.
Check if you are connected to the internet.
If you are connected to your network, disconnect the connection and then try to login.
If you are still unable to login, shutdown the computer.
Wait for a minute.
Turn the computer On and keep tapping F11 repeatedly to enter Recovery Manager and perform a system restore to a date when you were able to login fine.
Please refer to this HP Article for assistance in performing a system restore.
For assistance in resetting the password in Windows 10, please refer to this HP Article.
Let me know if this helped.
