Running RHEL 8.10 (kernel 4.18.0-553.80.1) on a Z2 G9, attempting to change Bios settings with the hp-repsetup` tool. I've followed all the instructions to build the RPM and install it into /opt/hp/hp-flash but when I try to run the utility I get the error in the title. I'm able to run `modprobe hpuefi` with no error, so it seems like the kernel module is loaded, but maybe the installation process is not creating the /dev files it is supposed to? I haven't been able to find anything online as to what I might be doing wrong.

Thanks a ton! That last command fixed the error. I attempted to use a .bin file generated from a Windows machine for the -cspwdfile parameter but I get "Admin password was not updated: (Access Denied)". Do I need to generate another .bin file on this current machine in order to do that? And if so, is there a way to save the current BIOS password in a .bin file similar to the HPQPswd.exe?

I'm not sure, but check the manual under the subtitle

If a BIOS password is set on the system, it will need to be supplied on the command line using the -p option for changes to be made. For example: /opt/hp/hp-flash/hp-flash -p
