I recently bought my elderly mother a new HP desktop computer.  I am trying to clean it up, to keep it as simple as possible.  There are certain items in the "All Apps" list that I cannot remove.  Two such examples are Adobe Offers and Amazon.com.  When I right click to uninstall the app, it takes me to the add/remove programs in the control panel, but the programs/apps are not there.  Is there a way to get rid of these?

Hello
Are the programs properly installed?
I don't know how to explain, but sometimes these are just shortcuts, you have to install them
Otherwise, right click, you should have "application settings"
scroll down to "uninstall", the option may also be grayed out, impossible to uninstall, you will have to find special software.
Be careful though, some programs may be necessary for certain functions

My advice -- leave them alone!  They are taking very little space and no CPU cycles just sitting there.  The  more you "hack" around to remove these, the more you risk trashing the PC.

So further investigation reveals that no, they are not actually applications , just shortcuts to websites with other than the standard Edge icon I'm used to in Windows 10.  It was just a simple delete of the shortcut from the Start folder.  It was odd, though, that when I right clicked on the icon in the Start menu and chose Uninstall, that it would send me to the add/remove programs in the control panel.  I think that's what confused me.

Thanks to both for your help and suggestions!
