Hi @nicole99099,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To remove "Bridgcommunications" from your HP laptop (or any unwanted software), you typically need to follow these steps, especially since it's asking for administrator permission:

Step-by-Step Guide:

1. Open Control Panel

  • Press Windows key + S to open the search bar, type Control Panel, and press Enter.

2. Uninstall a Program

  • In Control Panel, click Programs > Programs and Features.
  • Scroll through the list to find Bridgcommunications or any program related to it.
  • Right-click on it and select Uninstall. You may be prompted for administrator permission.

3. Use Administrator Permissions

  • If it asks for administrator permission, click Yes to allow the action. If you don’t have admin rights, you'll need to contact the system administrator to proceed.

4. Check for Malware

  • If the software doesn't uninstall via Control Panel, or you suspect it's malicious, run an antivirus or anti-malware scan. You can use Windows Defender or another antivirus program like Malwarebytes.

5. Use Task Manager

  • Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.
  • Look for any suspicious processes related to "Bridgcommunications" and end them.
  • After ending the process, try uninstalling the software again through the Control Panel.

6. Manually Delete Files (Advanced)

  • If the program still won't uninstall, you can search for the software folder on your C: drive (typically in Program Files or Program Files (x86)), and manually delete it.
  • Be careful when doing this to avoid deleting essential system files.

7.  Restart Your Computer

  • After completing these steps, restart your laptop to ensure the software is fully removed.

Please mark this post as “Accepted Solution” if the issue is resolved and if you feel this reply was helpful click “Yes”.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day
