I have an old HP Laptop without pictures that are irreplaceable on it. For years I’ve tried to log in but I cannot seem to remember this password. Please help!

Is this a windows password?  if laptop is windows 10 or newer then you can reset the password by logging into the Microsoft account used to activate windows as explained here..  Photos could also be obtained from the OneDrive cloud if you enabled that function.

 

If older than windows 10, then remove the hard drive, attach a USB addapter, and recover your photos using a USB3 port on another PC.  USB3 will provide enough power to run most HDDs.

There are several ways to reset an unknown windows 7 password as explained by this Microsoft MSFT agent. 

However the agent failed to mention that if the disk is encrypted or bitlocker is used then none of those methods work.  Neither will the USB adapter method.

 

Microsoft CoPilot will also explain, probably simpler.
