SM Bus Controller for Vista Ultimate on an HP Elite 8300 Tower

Missing SM Bus Controller and USB Controller drivers in the Device Manager.

Where can I locate them?

Can I down line load them to a CD on my W7 System and then install them on my Vista Ultimate System from the CD?

Hi:

There is no support for Windows Vista from Intel for the chipset your PC has.

You can try the W7 drivers from your PC's support page.

Chipset installation utility:

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp57001-57500/sp57137.exe

Intel USB 3 driver:

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp63501-64000/sp63720.exe

Try manually installing the drivers if the auto install method doesn't work.

You can also try the XP chipset driver too, but there isn't a USB3 driver for XP.

It's fixed and I am back to installing the Vista Ultimate O/S.
