Hi @wantingnot,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your browser settings on your HP Pavilion Elite HPE-170t!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Check Browser Settings:

  • Open your web browser and go to its settings.
  • Ensure that your preferred search engine is set correctly. If Yahoo is showing as Google, you may need to check if any extensions or add-ons are causing the issue.

Reset Browser Settings:

  • In the browser settings, look for an option to reset settings to their original defaults.
  • This can help remove any changes made by malware or unknown sources.

Clear Cache and Cookies:

  • Clearing your browser's cache and cookies might resolve the issue.
  • Look for the option to clear cache and cookies in your browser's settings.

Check for Extensions:

  • Review your browser's extensions or add-ons and disable or remove any that you're not familiar with or believe might be causing the problem.

Use Malware Removal Tools:

  • Run a trusted malware removal tool to scan your system for any remaining threats.

Alternative Browsers:

  • Try accessing the internet using a different browser to see if the issue persists there.

I hope this helps.
