HP Support Assistant insists that "You must sign into this device to install updates", but I am signed in already.

Welcome to the HP Community Forum.

The HP Support Assistant cannot find any "new" updates for your Windows 11 system.

When HPSA tries to run and it fails to find any updates,

Rather than cleanly exiting and just telling you there are not any new updates, the HPSA might hang or balk.

Occasionally, if the code can find any exit at all, it might issue error messages.

True - when the HPSA does issue an error for an unsolvable issue, the message would hopefully match the situation -- it is not always the case.

Driver Webpage - Open

Software and drivers for HP Pavilion All-in-One PC 27-d0000i (7RC38AV)

Website page Operating System selected as

Windows

Windows 11 version 21H2 (64-bit)

Open "All Drivers"

Select "Open All"

The most recent update listed is for the BIOS  -- dated November 2022.

What to do?

At this point, because there are no longer any new driver updates for your system,

(You can) Open HP Support Assistant > Open Settings > Switch OFF the "Software Updates Settings"

What else?

Once in a while, on a schedule of your choosing, open your Software and Drivers webpage and manually check for any new updates.

Example - HP Support Assistant - Application type - Settings

HPSA_App_Settings_Auto-Updates_6HPSA_App_Settings_Auto-Updates_6
