Slice G2
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

We have a Slice G2 that came preinstalled with MS Teams (Logitech Rally Plus) and we'd like to convert it to Zoom Rooms. Will the cloud recovery tool allow us to do that?

Thanks,

My guess is that no one replied sooner because no one here knows the answer to your question.

I read the link info and also a PDF that HP has and it appears the Slice comes in six different versions,  So, if the recovery media offers a choice of version, then you would be able to do this, but if the media is different for each version, then all you will do is basically a factory reset on this same version.

Thanks for the response!

It just so happens that I used the Recovery tool this morning (using the steps HP provided) and at no point was I prompted to choose either Teams or Zoom, it just loaded up w/Teams.  I uninstalled Teams Rooms but as soon as I reboot, it keeps trying to cram it down my throat.
😕

So it appears that this system might be of no use to us.

What it sounds like is that there is a separate recovery for each of the six models, so if you get one with Teams, you can't change it to Zoom.

I would suggest you try to contact HP to see if they will do anything for you about this.  There is nothing we here can do for you to change this.

HP does not provide links for phone support in the US because of Scammers that were harvesting those numbers, calling customers, and charging them money for services they did not need.

To get a phone number, you have to go to the HP site listed below, create a support case, and after that, HP will provide contact information, possibly including a phone number. That link is not going to let you create a support ticket if your warranty has expired -- because HP does not provide phone support outside of the warranty period.
