Product: SmartStream Designer
Operating System: macOS 10.15 Catalina
Like some others, I have had some problems with SmartStream Designer in InDesign with the "New Document from PDF" tool. Sometimes it works but sometimes, when I choose my PDF, the resulting InDesign document is blank, with no links, named after the PDF I chose. No matter the dimensional size of the PDF, the document size is always 11.8x16.66.
I just realized that the problem only occurs when the name of the PDF or its containing folder contains accents. So I just removed all the accents from the file/folders name and all works correctly.
I just wanted to inform the community about this.
