@Diva_Suju, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds frustrating to deal with software update issues on your HP PC. Let's try to resolve this together. Here are some steps you can follow:
Check Compatibility: Ensure your HP PC is compatible with the latest updates. HP maintains a list of products tested with newer Windows versions.
Run Performance Tune-Up: Use the HP Performance Tune-Up tool to optimize your system and free up space for updates. This tool is available through HP Support Assistant.
Update BIOS: Make sure your BIOS is up to date. This can help ensure compatibility with new updates. How to Update BIOS Software on Windows PCs | HP® Tech Takes
Update Graphics Drivers: Outdated graphics drivers can cause update failures. Check and install the latest drivers from HP Support Page.
Check for Windows Updates: Go to Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and select Check for updates. Install any pending updates.
Perform a Power Drain: If your PC is stuck during an update, try performing a power drain:
- Unplug the power cord and disconnect the AC adapter.
- Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds, then release.
- Reconnect the power cord and adapter, then power on the PC
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
