HP 15.6 inch Laptop PC 15-e2000 (2K3D8AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

My Wi-Fi adapter kept disappearing. I tried all of the solutions here to no avail. I finally found my solution in the HP support Assistant. Open HP Support Assistant, on the right side in the fixes and diagnostic box, click on optimize your performance, a pop-up named HP performance tune-up check will appear, check the box that says system file checker.  It is also a good idea to check the other boxes too. It takes about 30 minutes to finish but now my Wi-Fi adapter stays put.

Thank you for reaching out!

If you're experiencing an issue where your Wi-Fi adapter keeps disappearing on your HP 15.6 inch Laptop PC 15-e2000 with Windows 11, there's a helpful feature in the HP Support Assistant that can potentially resolve this issue. Here's a step-by-step guide to using the HP Support Assistant to fix the problem:

  1. Open HP Support Assistant:

  2. Access Performance Tools:

    • On the right side, look for the "Fixes and Diagnostics" box.
    • Click on "Optimize your performance."
  3. Run HP Performance Tune-Up Check:

    • A pop-up titled "HP Performance Tune-Up Check" will appear.
    • Ensure you check the box that says "System File Checker."
    • Consider checking other available options for a comprehensive check.

By running this tune-up and especially the System File Checker, you're allowing HP Support Assistant to scan for and potentially fix corrupted or missing system files that might be causing your Wi-Fi adapter to disappear. This built-in tool is an effective way to troubleshoot and resolve performance issues related to your system.

Additional Tips:

  • Keep Your System Updated: Ensure your Windows and drivers are always up-to-date. You can do this through Windows Update or via HP Support Assistant.
  • Check Device Manager: Occasionally, an update or a reinstallation can fix driver issues. Go to "Device Manager" and check for any warnings or errors under "Network adapters."

Please keep us posted if this helps, or if you need any additional assistance.
