There are some keys on my keyboard that do not work on my HP Laptop-17-by3051cl. To be specific, the g, h, backspace, 8, windows, quotation, and f7 keys do not work. I have not made any recent changes to the computer or computer system, this seemed to begin out of no where about two weeks ago. I have tried troubleshooting the issue and nothing works. I have tried:
- updating Windows
- updating the keyboard driver
- uninstalling the keyboard driver
- performing a hard reset
- performing a clean boot
- replacing the keyboard
Because I replaced the entire keyboard and the same keys are still not working, I do not think that this is a hardware issue. However, i have pulled up recovery manager and the keys do not type into recovery manager either. Are there any other things I can do to try and fix the keys? I have been using an external keyboard, which works just fine but it is not a great long-term solution.
