Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Hi I am trying to help my neighbor get back into her laptop, she has forgotten her password and needs to get back into her computer. When she selects forgot password it says to insert a usb driver, so she went and purchased one and when she chooses forgot password after inserting the usb drive it then prompts her to insert the drive with the password reset disk. I’m not sure what it’s talking about or how to get one.

The password reset disk or USB is what Windows can make so when you forget the password, you can recover and get back into Windows.  The problem with that is it has to have been made BEFORE this problem arises.

Sorry.  There are ways to get past that - but we are not allowed to help with those matters on the forum.

Google is your friend.  Search for ways to reset the Windows password.
