Sure Sense scans

HP Recommended
Prodesk 600 G5 DM
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a new HP ProDesk 600 G5 DM. I am trying to understand and use HP Sure Sense most effectively. I have two questions:

1. Is it necessary to manually run a full scan at regular intervals? There does not seem to be a way to schedule scans, and the user guide does not explain this.

2. Are there known conflicts with Bitdefender? Sure Sense informed me it quarantined C:\ProgramData\Bitdefender\Desktop\EnginesTemp\tmp00000138 the first few times I started the computer.
