My PC is the OMEN 30L Desktop - GT13-0024

I have TPM manufacturer version 3.90.0.5 This version is incompatible with Call of Duty and so I am unable to play the only game that I purchased this pc to play rendering this 5 year old pc useless to me. I have followed all the recommendations including updating bios to the latest version, my TPM and secure boot are both active.  Please let me know how I can update the manufacturer version so that I can use my "gaming pc" to you know, play games. Thanks.

Hi @Ommen30L,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your OMEN 30L (GT13-0024) is failing Call of Duty checks because the TPM manufacturer version is reported as incompatible, even though TPM and Secure Boot are enabled. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this and what can and cannot be changed.

Clarify what the TPM “manufacturer version” means
The TPM manufacturer version (for example 3.90.0.5) is firmware embedded in the motherboard or CPU.
This value cannot be manually updated like a driver or Windows update.

Confirm the TPM type used by this system
The OMEN 30L GT13-0024 uses firmware TPM (fTPM) built into the AMD CPU, not a replaceable TPM module.
Because of this, the TPM firmware version is tied to BIOS support from HP.

Verify BIOS is truly the latest available for your exact model
Open HP Support Assistant or the HP support page for GT13-0024 and confirm the BIOS version installed.
If the BIOS is current, then HP has not released a newer TPM firmware for this platform.

Clear and reinitialize TPM (important step)
In Windows, open Windows Security → Device Security → Security Processor → Troubleshooting → Clear TPM.
Restart the PC after clearing (BitLocker must be suspended if enabled).

Recheck Secure Boot configuration
Enter BIOS → Security → Secure Boot Configuration.
Secure Boot must be Enabled and set to Standard, not Custom.

Update Windows completely
Go to Windows Update and install all optional updates, including security and platform updates.
Some games read TPM status incorrectly if Windows security components are outdated.

Understand the game-side limitation
Call of Duty checks TPM compliance using its own whitelist logic.
If the game flags a valid TPM 2.0 firmware as “unsupported,” this is a game compatibility decision, not a hardware failure.

What cannot be done on this system
• You cannot flash a newer TPM manufacturer version manually
• You cannot replace fTPM with a discrete TPM on this motherboard
• Windows updates do not change TPM firmware versions

Practical workaround to test
Ensure the game launcher and anti-cheat are fully updated.
Some Call of Duty updates temporarily reject valid TPM versions and are later patched.

I hope this helps.
