As the title says, I've gone into BIOS and turned everything related to TPM on, but when I go to tpm.msc, it still says that it cannot find a compatible tpm. I'm not sure where to go from here to turn on and update my tpm to 2.0

Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.
Thanks for laying that out so clearly—when TPM is enabled in BIOS but still not detected in Windows, it can feel like you’re chasing a ghost.
If you have enabled the TPM in the BIOS of your HP ENVY x360 15.6 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC (15-ee1000) but still cannot find it in Windows 11 using tpm.msc, follow these troubleshooting steps:
Verify BIOS Settings:
- Restart your computer and enter the BIOS setup by pressing F10 during startup.
- Navigate to the Security tab.
- Ensure that TPM Device is set to Available.
- Ensure that TPM State is set to Enabled.
- Save and exit the BIOS settings.
BIOS Update:
- Ensure you have the latest BIOS version installed. You can download the latest BIOS update from the HP Support website.
- Follow the instructions for downloading and installing the BIOS update.
Check in Windows:
- After confirming the BIOS settings, boot into Windows.
- Open the Device Manager by right-clicking on the Start button and selecting it from the context menu.
- Look for Security Devices and check if Trusted Platform Module 2.0 is listed.
Run the Health Check:
- Open the Run dialog (Win + R).
- Type tpm.msc and press Enter.
- Check if the TPM is recognized and its status is shown.
Windows Trusted Platform Module (TPM) Management:
- If tpm.msc still shows no TPM, open Settings > Update & Security > Windows Security > Device Security > Security processor and check if there are any additional settings or options given.
Windows Update:
- Ensure that your Windows 11 is up to date. Sometimes, specific updates can resolve compatibility issues with TPM.
Enable TPM via Group Policy:
- Press Win + R, type gpedit.msc, and press Enter.
- Navigate to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > System > Trusted Platform Module Services.
- Double-click Turn on TPM backup to Active Directory Domain Services and set it to Not Configured or Enabled.
- Perform a system restart.
If these steps do not resolve the issue, there may be a hardware fault with your TPM module. In that case.

Thanks for troubleshooting I appreciate all your efforts.
If none of the above works, it’s possible the TPM module (or fTPM firmware) is faulty or not properly supported by the current firmware.
