Hi, I have HP w2207 monitor. The black screen of Auto Resolution in progress keep coming in the screen every few seconds please help me with this issue.

(auto response engine says) no PC told at all not even a clue, sure desktop but 10,000 models.

old monitors do that,  when the inputs are wrong.

1680 x 1050 factory-set resolution and MAX TOO !!!!

 

if you connect this to PC that is set higher,  the monitor fails. by going nuts or simple put  this to the screen

OUT OF RANGE

some lamer monitors will just get lost or go black.   seen it but is rare.

 

now the cure, put PC in SAFE ,mode and then set the resolution  to above.

or use other monitor new to set lower reso,  above, then put back old monitor.

 

your manual shows this. 18 valid resolution, only.

GO TO SAFE MODE OR PICK. OR ENABLE LOW RESOLUTION MODE, then when you have desktop set it to
