Trying to access BIOS

HP Recommended
HP EliteDesk 800 G3 SFF
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Trying to access the BIOS to allow DVD boot.

Information says to repeatedly press, or hold down, the ESC key.

Doesn't work.

Suggestions?

Hi,

  • Click the Start menu and select Settings.
  • Select Update and Security.
  • Click Recovery.
  • Under Advanced startup, click Restart now. ...
  • Select Troubleshoot.
  • Choose Advanced options.
  • Select UEFI Firmware Settings.
  • Click Restart to restart the system and enter UEFI (BIOS).

If Fast Boot is set in the BIOS then this setting frequently causes PCs to bypass the normal BIOS selection menu where you can select the Boot devices (typically F2 on the BIOS menu).

Worst case, you might need to clear the CMOS to get the BIOS settings back to the defaults.
