HP ENVY h8-1534 Desktop PC
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

I'm going to upgrade from win 8.1 to win 10 but it's said that I must update my BIOS.

I am using a Gigabyte 2AC8 1.2 Main PCB.  I typically don't like messing with the bios and if I really don't
need to, then I'd rather not...any how, if I do then how do I do it?  What's the process?

Thanks

hi

You shouldn't believe everything you say!
Sometimes it has absolutely no use, moreover the risk being not negligible, I advise you to try without doing it before!
make a clone of your current installation, in order to be able to restore it in the event of a problem!
Try in update, and not complete installation with hdd format!
at best try with another hard drive, see an SSD
and if you ever can't install windows 10, then possibly if that's the reason, then you can try updating your bios
