Hi @Dilkhush121,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you are unable to connect a biometric device to your HP Laptop 14s-dy2xxx, there are a few things you can try.
- Check device compatibility: Make sure the biometric device you are trying to connect is compatible with your laptop. Check the device's specifications and compare them with your laptop's specifications to ensure compatibility.
- Check device driver: Make sure that the device driver for the biometric device is installed and up-to-date. Go to the manufacturer's website and download the latest driver for the device.
- Check device settings: Make sure that the biometric device is enabled in the laptop's settings. Go to the Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Devices and Printers > Biometric Devices and check if the device is enabled.
- Check Windows Hello: If you are trying to connect a Windows Hello compatible biometric device, make sure that Windows Hello is set up and enabled on your laptop. Go to Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options and check if Windows Hello is set up and enabled.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
