Unable to install Java on Firefox or Chrome

HP PAVILION p6510y PC
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Trying to minimally use this Windows 7 desktop for certain things, mostly offline. Need to install Java in order to run Onis 2.5. Have tried Firefox and Chrome without success. Will Microsoft edge work on this old computer and then have the capability for Java?  I saw some related answers in this forum from several years ago but can’t seem to get anywhere.

@Tamala13 , welcome to the forum.

Here is an old version of Java for Win 7: https://www.oldapps.com/index.php/java.php?system=Windows_7

I can't guaranty that it will work, but it is worth a try.  Since Microsoft is no longer supporting Win 7 it is getting more difficult to find software and drivers for it.
