Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

Good morning, I go back again discussing another problem, as I mentioned the other day I dusted an old computer that had / HP Compaq dc7600 Small Form Factor). I have installed Windows 7 32 bits (I plan to change it to 64 bits), and so far it works well, just for one problem ... I have to constantly update the time and date because the computer does not (even when configured to do it automatically, and that is connected to a WiFi network constantly).

I do not know what to do anymore, I changed the BIOS battery for a new one, I checked that the Reset BIOS is in place, and I could not fix it.

Hi:

Take a look at this link.  Maybe try step 3, since you tried the other steps.

Hello, sorry for not answering these days, I was on vacation, I wanted to tell you that I did everything on the first link and it did not work. Then, I tried the second link, but I do not understand where I have to place the value, if in Hexadecimal or in Decimal, I have put it in Decimal ...

Hi:

Yes, it doesn't say which to use, but I think you were right to use the decimal edit.

I have put it to be updated every 6 hours (in the forum it says that the minimum allowed for problems not to occur is 4 hours), it is a pity that this problem could not be solved, but at least I can solve it by doing this, thank you.

Anytime.

Well, maybe the problem will correct itself if you decide to switch to a 64 bit operating system, as you had mentioned in our other conversation.

I'm going to try that, because I realized that even changing those values solved the problem. That's sad. Haha

Yes, and if that doesn't work, then you will have to assume the cmos clock on the motherboard is bad, and no fix is available other than to replace the motherboard.
