Hey,
I'd like to know if there is a file to update the BIOS on the HP Z2 Tower G5 Workstation to version 01.03.00 directly (from an USB Stick at the boot of the machine) without using the software in the OS.
We mainly have Linux machines and i don't trust myself with your experimental files to update the BIOS from Linux.
Thanks,
Gino

Hi, @gthill
I used Windows and 7-zip to extract the files out of the sp136650 BIOS update file.
It appears that there are three ways to update the BIOS without using any operating system.
One is not listed in the instructions, but I see an ISO file in one of the folders you can burn to a CD boot from it, and update the BIOS from an optical drive. The instructions are in the readme file.
Here's a screenshot of that folder...
The other two methods for using a USB flash drive are in the instructions I zipped up and attached below.

@gthill -- Shutdown your computer, then restart your computer, and enter BIOS SETUP, and look through the various menus.
Is there an item that lets you update the BIOS, reading from a USB memory-stick that was attached when the computer was powered-off ?
