HP Envy 34-a150
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

HP Envy 34-a150, need to upgrade Win 10 from Home to Pro.  Have lic. and program on a boot USB FD. UEFI doen't see the bootable flash drive & won't allow me to change the BIOS to legacy.  What do I need to do in order to have the UEFI boot from the FD? & What special drivers will I have to add to the OS once I can get the BIOS to recognize the FD and load the new OS on the Envy, so that my friend can see the entire 34" screen?

Hi:

You don't need to install W10 Pro.

As a matter of fact, if you were to get it to install, it would reinstall W10 Home because that is the product key that will be picked up.

So all that work would have been for naught.

All you need to do is change the Home Product key to the Pro product key, and presto-chango, after a few minutes, you will have W10 pro.

See this link from Microsoft for how to do change W10 Home to W10 Pro with a W10 Pro product key...
