I do not have an option to log into WiFi. I have Windows 11 on an HP Envy with an AMD Ryzen 5 processor. I have troubleshooted following ways. This identified my wireless network adapters showed were not working and showed Code 45. I then took the following troubleshooting steps

1) Restarted many times

2) uninstalled wireless network adapters

3) restarted many times

The wireless adapters will not reinstall and still not WiFi option. I then Network Reset and Restarted. Still  no WiFi options or reinstalled wireless adapters.

Can you advise on steps to resolve?

@Golo1, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're facing an issue where the Wi-Fi option is missing and the wireless network adapter is not reinstalling on your HP Envy with Windows 11 and an AMD Ryzen 5 processor. You've already tried several good troubleshooting steps, including uninstalling the adapter and performing a network reset.

Since the adapter still shows Code 45 (which means the hardware is not connected), here are some advanced steps to help resolve the issue:

Check Device Manager for Hidden Devices

  1. Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
  2. Click View > Show hidden devices.
  3. Expand Network adapters.
  4. If your wireless adapter appears grayed out or with a warning icon, right-click and choose Uninstall device.
  5. Restart your PC.

Manually Install the Wireless Driver

  1. Visit the official HP Drivers page for your model:
    Official HP® Support
  2. Enter your HP Envy model number (you can find it on the bottom of your laptop or in BIOS).
  3. Download the latest Wi-Fi driver under the Network section (look for Realtek, MediaTek, or Qualcomm depending on your hardware).
  4. Install the driver and restart your PC.

Run HP Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI)

This will check if the wireless card is physically detected.

  1. Turn off the laptop.
  2. Power it on and immediately press Esc repeatedly, then press F2 to enter HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI.
  3. Choose Component Tests > Network > Wireless Module Test.
  4. Run the test and note any error codes.

If the wireless module is not detected, it may indicate a hardware failure or loose connection.

BIOS Reset and Update

  1. Enter BIOS by pressing Esc > F10 at startup.
  2. Press F9 to load defaults, then F10 to save and exit.

Check Windows Services

  1. Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
  2. Ensure the following services are Running and set to Automatic:
    • WLAN AutoConfig
    • Network Connections

If the internal adapter has failed, a temporary workaround is using a USB Wi-Fi dongle until the internal card can be repaired or replaced.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
