I recently purchased an HP Desktop and can't log in to a website that I was able to log into on my old Dell desktop.  When I use my wife's HP laptop, i can log in to the website.  When I enter the login information on my desktop, nothing happens.  Are my Edge settings preventing me from logging in?

Welcome to the HP Community.

This is likely not an HP computer issue.

The interaction between you and the computer hardware is tasked through the Operating System.

In this case, the OS is Windows.

For the purposes of this answer, what you do on the computer goes through Windows.

Where to check:

Check your computer's Security Software - whether you are using Windows Defender (comes with Windows) or another Security software, that security might be trying to help you by blocking the site.  Security software generally comes with a way to "allow" an interaction, in this case, allow you access to a website in your browser.

Next, check the Browser.

If you have not done so, if the system is not yet running it, consider updating to Microsoft Edge Chromium.

Download the new Microsoft Edge based on Chromium

Yes, your browser could be "helping" you by blocking a site it thinks is a risk.

You need to check your browser settings for Privacy / Security / Cookies and site permissions for a way to "Allow" websites you trust that might otherwise be blocked by overly enthusiastic browser security.

For example,

Open Microsoft Edge Chromium

Settings Dots ... > Settings > Privacy, search and services

Settings Dots ... > Settings > Cookies and site permissions

Settings Dots ... > Help and Feedback > Help

What else?

Edge stubborn, not cooperating, bothersome?

Try a different Browser.

Thanks for your suggestions.  The problem was one of the Norton browser extensions.  When I removed it I was able to log in to the website.
