What file type and how do i install apps on my Chromebook model 11-2203TU

I recently got this chromebook but i dont know how to install anything on it or what file types it runs.

@Killprofit -- Chromebook computers are similar to Apple iPhone/iPad devices -- where you can access the Apple "App Store" to download and run only those validated-to-be-safe-to-use apps that are available from that Store.  Your Chromebook will have a similar "Store" app built-in.

Basically, Chromebooks are designed to access E-mail, and to web-surf, via its Internet connection.

Note that there is an online version of Microsoft Office, that runs "inside" the web-browser. So, you can create and edit Microsoft Word documents, and Excel spreadsheets.
