When I open the HP accessory center I get a blank screen. I try to use this to manage my keyboard. How can this be fixed?

There is an older post that ends with private message not available for other users, therefore does not help at all.

Unfortunately, this only applies to HP Accessory Center when it opens - no consideration of it never opening and staying on a black screen.

I have also tried from older post of ensuring all Windows updates are in place and reinstalling, without success.

I'm just wondering if it's up to date?

uninstallation
download, install again
just in case, open the microsoft store
click on check for updates

I just tried, while no hp device
the app opens without any problem

This is exactly what I tried previously. Uninstalled and reinstalled from Windows Store.

It works on my Surface but not on my HP PC where the screen stays black when I open the HP Accessory Center app.

If it has already worked, do you know if there has been anything new in the meantime?

do you have another user account?

Yes this is the version I have downloaded on my computers. Both have Windows 10, as mentioned early. The program works on My Surface laptop, but not on my HP PC desktop where I only get a black screen.

Thanks for your help.

It has never worked on my HP PC desktop. I purchased a new Bluetooth keyboard, and the advanced setup of the keyboard can only be done using HP Accessory Center. I am unable to install it on my PC, and I don't have another account.

 

The good news is that IO can do the advanced setup via my Surface, and it keeps the settings for my PC, so the problem is moot, although frustrating.

Is it possible for you to create a user account, administrator, to check if it works..
if it never worked, hard to find the reason I think, it opens, but stays all black, is that right?

 

do you try this?
"Numbers and words are missing in the HP Accessory Center user interface.
Change the scaling options under Windows Display Settings to 100 or 150%, and then try again. The App should render correctly.

What model of computer is it exactly?
