TP01-0066

Hello  Gals and Guys -

I have a HP TP01-0066 desktop that has Windows 10 Home on it. Last year I tried to install Windows 11 a couple times, but every time I did, it was very slow. Particularly when clicking on things it would hang or when trying to connect to the internet. My other computers, running MacOS and Linux, did not have any issues with Internet lag, so I went back to Windows 10 and was a happy camper.

Until a month or so ago when Windows 10 started to become lethargic as well. I thought maybe I had a virus, so I wiped it using True Image and put back an image from last year when it ran better That worked for a few days, but then started being sluggish again, though not as bad. I tested the memory and SSD, which came out functioning normally. I have a Ryzen 7 CPU, so it should have enough oomph.

Since it was essentially a clean install I got to thinking perhaps a Windows Update was the culprit.  I again wiped the machine and put back my old image.  I disable Windows Update and it seems to be running better, but I'm curious if anyone with the same or similar PC is seeing this issue?  Thanks for any help.
