Couldn't completely download the said file. Do I need to install a FTP client?

HP Recommended

I can DL either file with no problems.

I am using W10 with Internet Explorer 11.

Hi Sir,

I am still having problem with the "PCI Simple Communications Controller."

Could not install sp72617.exe as it said my system did not meet the system requirements. I proceeded to install sp73091.exe with no problem at all. However, after the reboot, "PCI Simple Communications Controller" remains...

What shall I do next?

Thanks....

OK:

Try this one for the PCI Simple Communications Controller

This package provides the driver for the Intel Management Engine Interface solutions in supported models that are running a supported operating system.

File name: sp65135.exe

Try this bluetooth driver...

This package provides the original driver for the HP Bluetooth Module solutions in supported models that are running a supported operating system.

File name: sp61228.exe

Thank you very much, Sir!!!

sp61135.exe worked, didn't even have to install sp6xxxxxx.exe for the bluetooh. Everything seems ok now ...;-)

Windows 7 is still updating as I am typing this (fingers croxxed)...will know everything for sure later tonight.

Thanks again.

My sincere thanks to you Sir.

Q1: Is there a way to cross check which drivers have been installed into the system?  I see many "spxxxxxxx" folders left in the windows system. I would like to delete those incorrect ones.

Q2:Once everything is in place, and system fully updated;  would it be a good idea to "ghost" an image file of the entire system or would it be more practical to make a backup of all the driver files instead?

Can't really thank you enough....but THANK YOU, YOU ARE AWESOME!!!

You're very welcome.

Yes, you can delete the entire SWsetup folder because that just has the driver installation files.

The drivers from those files have already been installed and the driver folders are no longer necessary.

Once you have your PC the way you want it, yes I recommend you create a system image, and update it any time you think it is necessary to do so.

If you have an image backup program you are good to go.

Otherwise you can use the create a system image tool in W7 or use a free image program.

I like this one personally...
