Z420 VT-x Virtualization

HP Recommended
HP Z420 Workstation
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I'm having trouble enabling VT-x Virtualization on my Z420 Workstation

I'm not able to enter BIOS normally, so I'm using the HP Performance Advisor

The setting for Virtualization is there, i can click on it and attempt to change the setting, it just wont let me enable it.

Hi,

I don't understand why you cannot enter the BIOS to enable this setting.

Please explain.

Hi,

I checked your BIOS problem thread (Link).

I had a problem with a Logitech keyboard on a HP PC; could not enter the BIOS.

I had to use a HP keyboard to do this.

The Logitech keyboard would not initialize so I could enter the BIOS.

You have to get to the BIOS if HP Performance Advisor is not working right.

Hi,

Try running HP Performance Advisor as an administrator.

I wish the solution was that simple, but that doesn't seem to work for my problem.

Hi,

You must have been able to enter the BIOS at some point in time.

Try different keyboards. Try different USB ports.

You need the BIOS to enable virtualization if other methods don't work.
