Hi @trizzy11,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand how critical it is to have your printer or desktop working properly, and seeing that “HpPortIox64.sys” error pop-up can be both confusing and disruptive. Let’s work together to resolve this quickly and smoothly.

What’s Going On

  • The file HpPortIox64.sys is part of HP’s secure port monitor used for print and scan operations.
  • In Windows 11, if it’s flagged by security settings, such as the Vulnerable Driver Blocklist or Memory Integrity (Core Isolation), Windows will block the driver, preventing it from loading.

Steps to Fix

1. Disable Vulnerable Driver Blocklist

Windows may be stopping the driver due to suspected security risks:

  • Search for “Vulnerable Driver Blocklist” or go to:
Start → Settings → Privacy & security → Device Security → Core Isolation
  • If there’s an option to turn off the blocklist for the HP Port driver, disable it and restart.

2. Turn Off Memory Integrity

If Core Isolation is blocking the driver:

  • Go to:
Settings → Privacy & security → Device Security → Core Isolation → Core Isolation Details
  • Toggle Memory Integrity off, then reboot.

3. Reinstall HP Print Software Properly

  • Uninstall all HP printing software via:
Settings → Apps → HP (remove printer software)
  • Reinstall using the Full Feature Software and Drivers from Official HP® Support.

4. Restart Your Computer

After these steps, restart your system to let the changes take effect.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
