I would like to update the bios of my desktop elite 8300 ultra slim

Your PC uses the same BIOS files as the other 8300 Elite and 6300 Pro PC form factors.

 

Solved: Updating BIOS Pro 6300 SFF - HP Support Community - 7644632

 

If you run the file and an info page does not open, browse to the folder that was created when you ran the file which would be in C:\SWSetup\sp73099 for version 2.99 for example.

 

The info page is the html file, or you can just copy the file contents of the DOS flash folder to your USB flash drive from there.
